The Fire Fighters Charity and The Communities and Local Government Fire Kills Campaign have launched National Schools’ Fire Safety Day to help reduce the number of children who are killed or injured in fires each year.
Aimed at teachers/parents of children following the Key Stage 1 curriculum, the day will focus on a different topic each year. This year’s topic is ‘planning a safe escape’. The main objective for the Day is for Year 2 children to learn five related key messages at school, which they can take home and relay to their families.
By taking part, children will learn valuable fire safety lessons which one day may save their lives. Use this website to help make your Day a success. You’ll find downloadable resources, research, quizzes further information on fire safety, along with competitions and quizzes for the children! Kids Zone.
